1938-1943 production years of this model
1939 End of production of the W 153 model in short wheelbase 230 SV version. Introduction of 230 model with longer wheelbase. Available as limousine and convetible versions A (two-seat, two-door), B (four-seat, two-door), D (four-seat, four-door). The model is distinguished by 36 ventilation slots on the side of the hood, and a spare wheel on the hatch, without a special recess for it.
1943 End of production of the W 153 model. Based on the W 153 and W 136 new model W 136 IV was created in 1949.
