1964-1966 production years of this generation
1965 The fourth-generation Thunderbird model, produced from 1964 to 1966, is referred to as the "Flair Birds". A convetible, hardtop coupe and Town Sedan were available. All three model years have twin round headlights widely spaced at the corners of the fenders. The rectangular rear lamps are placed horizontally.
The '65 model has the following appearance features:
- grill with large rectangular elements is part of the bumper,
- new emblem on the hood,
- Thunderbird lettering moved to the rear fender, and a decorative pseudo air intake appeared on the front fender just behind the wheel,
- rectangular rear lamps divided into six square segments,
