1958 The second generation of the Thunderbird model, produced between 1958 and 1960, is referred to as the "Square Birds". Compared to the first generation, it was quite a bit larger and offered seating for four passengers. A convetible and a hardtop coupe were available. All three model years have double round headlights on the fender corners and a massive bumper surrounding the grill, changed every year. The grill pattern is repeated at the rear, around the rear lamps. The '58 model has the following appearance features: - meshes of the grill are round, - bird emblem on the hood is small, with short wings arranged in a V, - Thunderbird lettering on the front fender and five decorative grilles on the doors, - double round rear lamps,
